Between August and December of 2012, I traveled from the United States to six different countries. Before I left, several people asked, “what will the toilets be like where you’re going?”
I decided to let you all see for yourselves. These are the toilets I used around the world:

Boston, MA, USA

Reykjavik, Iceland

Reykjavik, Iceland

I think the trough at F&m’s or Maes desserve a picture too as an example of New Orleans’ sophistication

Can’t believe you didn’t miss one single destination on your travel. Out of curiosity I would like to try the Musanze-one with the carpet.

There’s a couple of them that are a little scary, Sara!

I would have preferred a bush to many of these toilets, but never had much luck sneaking away. It was hard to be discrete as a minority in an overpopulated country. And it’s true – I should have added a New Orleans toilet to the list. I may have to snap one and add it in.

Good ol’ Rochester looks fabulous, although the very long one from Copenhagen looks most interesting. What is all that extra equipment about? Was Superman in that green phone booth-looking facility in Reykjavik, Iceland?
